Delicious Modeling Clay

This has got to be one of my favorites. I remember my mom making this a lot for me when I was a kid. The recipe comes from my Aunt Nadine. It's simple to make, fun to play with, and so yummy! I kept snitching when my daughter was playing this morning. This is stuff we have in our food storage, so it's either free (in theory!) or really cheap. (Thanks for reminding me of this, Meg!) Here's the recipe:

Delicious Modeling Clay
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup instant powdered milk
Mix together. More milk may be added as needed.

Yes, I mostly remember it tasting good. But it works good to build things, too. What fun! I haven't tried that forever.

I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER PLAYDOUGH! Ok, seriously, now I have to go make some. I still haven't made this with my Boys and I always want to! This was my very favorite thing that Mom would make when I was a kid. YUM...

I also love edible play dough. Maybe I'll make James (my nephew)some so he can try it...and I can play with it and eat it myself without feeling foolish for playing with playdough as an adult;)

Lil,
As a college student that is entirely acceptable behavior. Just get a bunch of your friend together and have a contest to see who can make the coolest sculptures, then eat them. :-)

Make that "friends", I do know you have more than one. :-)

After seeing this on your blog, I showed my daughter and she insisted we make some right then. So we did! What yummy fun!

I'd totally been in the mood to make this for weeks, but forgot you'd put it on this blog so long ago (and that I had said, so long ago, that I was going to make some! Why didn't I??) until Amanda reminded me. Alas, the Boys and I have eaten all of what we made two days ago, and I'm already craving more... what's a momma to do? :-)
